When you are using Google Drive, you can easily change the ownership of your files. The easiest way to do this is to copy the file. You’ll need to login with an external account to do this. To do this, you must click the “Make a copy” button and fill in the email address of the person you wish to transfer ownership to. Once you’ve done this, the original owner’s email will be removed and the newly transferred document will be renamed with the previous owner’s email.
You can also transfer ownership by using the Share option. This is the best method to move ownership to another user. If you are a Google Docs owner, you can use the Add people and groups field to share a document with someone else. However, you cannot do this with a Google Account that is outside your organization.
There are other options for transferring ownership of files, including the use of the Admin console. This option is limited to customers in the Education or Premier domains, as well as those in the Government or Consumer domains. Although it doesn’t let you change the record peers, it will allow you to manage document sharing and set notifications.

Another easy method of transferring ownership is by sharing the file with a friend or colleague. First, you must open the file. On the top right corner of the screen, you will find the share button. Click on this and enter the name of the person you are sharing the file with in the Share window.
Next, you can add comments to the document. You will see a list of people who are viewing or editing the document. If you want to share the file with more than one person, you can add more people by clicking on the Share icon. For more advanced sharing options, you can click on the down arrow next to the person’s name and choose to share with other users.

If you’re not sure if you’re ready to share the file with a friend or colleague, you can also try logging into Google Drive and looking at the Share Preferences page. This screen will show you the names of the recipients of your files and what type of information they can access. In addition, if you’re a Google Apps customer, you will be able to see which of your users is the recipient of your shared documents.
After you’ve selected the person you want to transfer ownership to, you can click on the Transfer Ownership button. A new pop-up window will appear. It’ll ask you to confirm the transfer. As long as you do this, the new owner will become the owner of the document and be able to view and edit it.
Although there are plenty of ways to transfer ownership of your Google Drive files, the simplest is probably the Share button. This will let you select the name of the recipient in the Share window, and the email address of the person.
